Boat Owners Platform is an AI platform for boat owners. Your boat is registered, your assistant knows your boat and helps with every question, from a breakdown underway to selling, renting and maintenance.
Born in Friesland, the heart of Dutch watersports, now active across the whole of Germany and the Netherlands. Honesty first: if something doesn't work yet, we say so.
Our founders
Murat Bilican is the founder of Boat Owners Platform and BIL Studio. He created the vision for one intelligent platform connecting boat owners, businesses and marine professionals.
Built around the needs of boat owners, his direction brings technology, trusted marine information and a premium user experience together in one international platform.

My name is Alex Dijkstra. I come from the north of the Netherlands and have been involved in watersports from a young age. Because my father was a seaman, we always came along aboard his ship, that's where my passion for the water began.
I have imported boats from, among other places, Turkey and sold, finished and outfitted them myself in the Netherlands.
I worked on megayachts, where we made sun tents on the large decks of Feadship, Amels, Oceanco, Lürssen and Abeking, and travelled a lot at home and abroad.
Today I run my own rigging and rope fender business: I do everything on masts, replacing furling systems, making new rigging, everything attached to the mast. I make the rope fenders myself, custom-fitted to each ship. I come to you to measure and make, so everything looks right again.
After all these years on the water, and these days a boat owner myself, I can see how powerful artificial intelligence has become. The idea was simple: a system that makes boating more comfortable and easier, not more complicated. With that thought I built this platform and opened it to everyone who owns a boat. I offer this technology for €29 a month, keeping the assistant and boat record accessible. And what I hope most of all is that you sail just as comfortably with it as I enjoyed building it.

Ada Bilican is responsible for technology and development at Boat Owners Platform. He grew up on boats from childhood, side by side with his father Murat Bilican, and the water has been part of his life ever since.
That combination of boating experience and a passion for technology drives him to keep improving the platform: smarter assistance, better tools for owners and a product that feels at home on every deck.
