Distance and arrival time together
Select places on the map and adjust waypoints. The planner calculates nautical miles and trip time from the entered cruising speed. Departure time matters: a forecast at the harbour now is not the forecast at a later leg when you arrive. Compare the leg detail and replay instead of reading one daily weather symbol.
Compare sources, recognise missing data
Wind, gusts and waves come from available forecast providers. A failed or absent source is shown as unavailable, not filled with a guess. The departure recommendation uses computed forecast data over the next 72 hours; it is a planning comparison, not assurance of safe weather. Depth coverage is limited and unknown values remain unknown.
Use with official navigation information
Save a route to your boat and use the available sharing and GPX tools. Phone position and replay can assist preparation, but BOP is not a certified navigation system. Always use official charts, local notices and your vessel's instruments. Forecast uncertainty, tides and local restrictions still need your judgement.
